I just set the smoke alarm off by leaving a pork chop under the grill for too long. Crispy!
Although, in my defence, it's the first time that's happened in the eight years I've lived away from home and been cooking for myself.

Our smoke alarm is ridiculous. It goes off from STEAM sometimes. Which, I guess is good and safe and all. It just makes me look bad when it goes off even though I haven't burned anything!
That's an enviable record. I get away with it because I've never lived in a place with a smoke detector.
Unsafe!
Once in eight years is remarkable. Malene and I seem to set it off about once a month.
