Naughty girl!

So I did a naughty thing today. I popped out at lunchtime to buy my lunch, and as I was making my way to M&S, I passed Monsoon. With a sale. I thought "I'll just pop in and see if there's anything decent", knowing full well that I detest sales and I would probably walk in and walk right back out again because of the mess and the crowds.

But!

The second I walked in, my eyes fell on this dress (edited with photo taken tonight). Only one left, and it just happened to be in my size. And it's so pretty! I decided to try it on for the hell of it, knowing that I don't usually look good in dresses.

Well!

This one is very flattering! I look so pretty in it! And for me to say that about myself is high praise indeed!

So I bought it! Yay! But no. I have absolutely no reason to buy it. I have nothing to wear it to. No weddings, no christenings, nothing! Last year I had these events coming out of my ears, but this year, zilch. I shouldn't have bought it.

But it was half price! It would have been rude not to.

The picture was gone by the time I clicked.

I know what you mean about having to buy it though. I bought a dress that I had no where to wear and never, ever would. My husband and I later planned a trip to Vegas so that I could wear it. That ended up being one very expensive dress in the end!

I think it was your responsibility to buy it. It was the only one left! In your size and everything!

Now you should come and visit me and I'll throw you a party so you can wear it.

You had to buy it - pretty dress, in your size, half off and makes you look wonderful?

Damn straight it would have been rude to leave it!

(and the picture's gone now :-( )

I'm sure there will be some sort of party or other sooner or later for you to take it out and show it off, pretty Eileen. [girlkissers]

Ooooh! You'll just have to invent an excuse to wear it.

Pretty dress? Last one? Your size? HALF off?

You were TOTALLY meant to have that dress.

That is a completely Guilt-Free transaction. Yes. *nods*

And talking to my friend DanDan via email at work today, she said SHE found a dress in Monsoon too! Bottle blue, strapless and enhances her "assets" [evil]. Also half off!

So that's 2 for 2 so far, maybe I should take a look ;-)

She's having a flatwarming/celebrating moving to London party this weekend, so she's wearing the dress to that. Maybe you need a housewarming, you could dress up!

First time commenter....

I recently purchased a Monsoon dress of Ebay. Brand new, £60 in shop, but only £20 off ebay.

The moral of this tale is that Monsoon dresses were made to make us look pretty and to be bought, whatever the reason.

P.S. Sometimes I like to dress up just to sit around and watch telly. Only if no one else is in mind. But shhh! Don't tell anyone!
