Slippery Slope

I've just won my very first Ebay auction! Oh dear. It's all downhill from here.

It was for the classic Super Nintendo video game Super Mario World. The SNES is the most up to date console I know and own! I love it, but can't find any games for it anywhere. Then I remembered Ebay!

Rocking it, old skool! Oh yeah!

It is possible not to get addicted to eCrack (I forget who called it that - Mouse or Suki I think). I have spurts of eBaying, where I'll buy a few Italian charms.

I think the key to avoiding addiction is to hold tightly onto all grammar and spelling nazi-ist tendencies you have. I find I don't like going to eBay because I have to wade through lists of ~~*~~_THE BEST CHARM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!_~~*~ and "l00k @ THIS!!!!"

Well that and the fact that 90% of the charms I see are crap!

But yay for winning your auction!

Will and I have discussed the matter, and we think you are infinitely cool for your old-school video game console.

Do you have Mario Kart? ;)

That my next mission! You do realise that this sudden re-interest in my SNES is all your fault, don't you?! :P

My first encounter with Ebay was to get a hard-to-find two-disc version of a Bon Jovi CD. Major score! I love Ebay now. I do a little selling, too, now, which supports my habit.

I have SNES too. I'd had the Zelda game for it years ago but I must have lost it in the divorce. A couple of years ago I found another on Ebay!

I have Super Mario World in SNES and I thought I had Super Mario All-Stars, but I can't find it. :-(

Helen--'eCrack' didn't come from me -- though I do like the word! Very appropriate.

I believe I WAS the one to hook you up with Italian charms on Ebay, though. ;-D

Laurie - really? I know I used to check American sites for charms, but they were stupidly expensive. I remember checking eBay but not being convinced it was safe and secure. Eventually I caved (more out of needing charms than anything, I did chat to my brother who'd been eBaying for a while). I don't remember you suggesting it, but my memory is sometimes piss poor [/putting it mildly] [wink]

Guess it must have been Suki who called it eCrack then! It was on Bettie's Blog, so I knew it wa seither you or her.

I can lend you some of the games I have, if you like. We've still got shedloads of SNES games lying around.
